Amangiri Elopement

Two Day Adventure Wedding: Embarking on a Desert Oasis Elopement

A sanctuary of luxury in the desert

Amangiri, meaning "peaceful mountain," is nestled within the heart of Utah's canyon country. Surrounded by towering cliffs and vast desert expanses, this exclusive resort offers a secluded haven for couples seeking a truly unforgettable elopement experience. From elegant accommodations to world-class amenities, Amangiri sets the stage for a celebration of love that transcends the ordinary.

Izabela and Tiago started their day getting ready amongst the white sandstone rocks enveloping Amangiri. We started the morning at the spa for their first look. It was the perfect intimate space for these two to start their day together before they became husband and wife.

Playing with light and shadows

Amangiri’s architecture is built to mimic and frame the landscape around it, using light to create art. As the hours tick on the light paints these walls creating a different masterpiece each time you look at them.

After these two exchanged their first look we explored the other worldly architecture Amangiri has to offer. I love that Amangiri was built to enhance and incorporate the landscape around it, creating a sense of tranquility and beauty everywhere you look.

Exploring the red rock walls of Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon, located in the heart of the Navajo Nation in Arizona, is a breathtaking slot canyon renowned for its swirling sandstone formations and ethereal light beams.

Next on our adventure Amangiri provided us a private tour of antelope canyon. We had these incredible slots all to ourselves. It was so intimate as we explored and gazed up at the thousand year old sandstone walls surrounding us.

Wandering Other Worldly landscapes

From its sparkling blue waters to the towering sandstone cliffs that surround it, Lake Powell offers a wealth of adventure and discovery, a perfect backdrop to exchange vows.

To end the night we rode two hours down a dirt road in the middle of no where to watch the sunset over Lake Powell. I had scouted out this overlook about a month before our shoot, and knew it would be the perfect spot to end the day and exchange vows. Luckily Izabela was up for the long four hour drive down rocky dirt roads to get here. The drive to the overlook looks like a different planet, and even had little yellow flowers blooming through the crusty desert ground. The drive was SO worth it as we watched the sun paint the landscape around us in to deep reds and blues.
