Elizabeth+Dan
Do you ever go back to a day in your mind over and over again?
I will always cherish this elopement I shot with Dan and Elizabeth in Yosemite. It was in the midst of the pandemic, but E wanted the most beautiful sunset cliff side Yosemite elopement.
The original date we had planned on, I had driven out to Yosemite only to be greeted by thick smoke and forest fires.
I told Elizabeth that it wouldn't be safe to do their wedding in such bad conditions.
Her heart was broken, but we decided to aim for the next month in a small window of time I had between weddings.
I flew out, and luckily all the smoke was gone. The result of cancelled plans and tears would result in one of the most epic elopement days I have ever captured.
These two ran through the sunlit trees, and said "I do" above Yosemite valley. The sun set that night was unlike anything I had ever seen. It was truly like Mother Nature knew what these two had endured to get to this point, and made the sacrifice of rescheduling all worth it.
